Update from the team last night (8/14/22): “We had a great morning at Arca de Noe church this morning.  Michael shared a greeting from West Huntsville and encouraged the church to walk in unity under the leadership of the new pastor.  Sam, the FCM missionary that lives here, preached a great message about our adoption into the family of God.  The service ended with us praying over and commissioning the new pastor, Pastor Josue!  It was a joy to be a part of this special service.  After lunch we took the ministry kids to a movie and then to dinner at Popeyes!  We had a special treat when we got back to the Farm. Nelson Rodriguez, the son of Pastor Rudolpho that passed away in 2020, came and shared with us.  God provided an opportunity for him to publish a Children’s book. He came and read the book to us and shared the vision God gave him for this book. The book is about a Honduran kid that looks forward to Mondays because Mondays is when the Bibliomovil, mobile library, comes to his village bringing books. He enjoys reading books about happy things and sharing those stories with friends and family because there is so much sadness around him. He finds joy sharing happy stories with people. This book is based on Nelson’s experience of driving into small villages and reading and sharing books with children in poor communities. God has provided opportunities through the proceeds of the book to be able to reach more communities that don’t have access to books. It is really exciting to see God working through Nelson and how he has been able to share his testimony with people in the industry that don’t know about the love of Jesus.”

Today the team will head out into the Monte Redondo community. They will go door to door taking food to needy families, inviting them to church, praying and sharing Christ with them.  We are looking forward to what God has in store as the team are Jesus hands and feet in this Honduran community!
