Updates:

  • Scott Vaughn’s knee surgery on Wednesday “went well. [The doctor] said it was a big area to clean out. They’ve put a drain in. Not sure how long he’ll have it. He will stay again tonight and hopefully go home tomorrow.” Praises!
  • Doug Daniel was diagnosed with a “partial heart blockage that will be treated with medicine.” He is expecting to be released from the hospital later today.  [Via Mark Kearley]   (Aug 29)
  • Jared Nelson’s MIL, Daphney, got the following report:  “good appointment with Dr Markert’s NP and then Dr Nabors, the neuro-oncologist today. Main take-away is that they think most of what was removed during surgery was dead tissue rather than tumor… His statement was that the outlook is probably better than we had been thinking after the July MRI.”
