Prayer Requests 8/14/2023

• Prayer request from Cindy Roper for Jennifer and Todd Norton as they travel to Vanderbilt for a doctor’s appointment for Todd’s knee. Please ask the God of Truth to reveal what is needed and help the medical staff provide the best care.

Requests/Updates from Brother Scott’s Midweek Update, August 2nd:

Requests:

• Pray for Scott Martin [who had shoulder surgery last] Friday. 
• Pray for Bill and Kathy Park’s grandson James, who is having surgery this Friday in Birmingham. 
• Pray for Oren Jones as he recovers from sinus surgery. 
• Pray for Sue Setzer, as she recovers from foot surgery. 
• Pray for Lottie Meeks as she recovers from back surgery.  
• Pray for Katie Zeller, who is the wife of our missionary, John Zeller, as she is scheduled for surgery to remove a large cancerous mass tomorrow.  
• Pray for Amber Isenhower, who is having gallbladder surgery next week.
• Pray for Aaron Seals, who is 38 years old and under hospice care. He is a childhood friend of Mark Daversa and given 2-3 weeks to live. 
• Pray for Mistie Hutchison, the daughter of Hutch and Betty, as she is scheduled for a hip replacement on August 21.  
•  Pray for the Isaac Mann family, who serve as our missionaries in Indonesia. Their daughter, Elly has been diagnosed with leprosy. Pray for the treatment she is under to be effective and that they find a way for preventive medication for the other family members. Pray they will be able to rest in the deep love and care of God.
• Pray for Deb Gordon, who is the wife of our missionary, Don Gordon, as she recovers from surgery and is still waiting for results from her biopsy.
• Pray for Cindy Roper to regain her strength.
• Pray for Chris Gunnels, who needs healing from brain cancer. 
• Pray for the Fox’s son-in-law, Craig, who has terminal cancer. 
• Pray for the Aquila family as they take care of Abigail.    
• Pray for Dickman’s as they care for her parents with dementia, especially for stamina.
• Pray for Peggy Newton’s daughter, Christy, who needs healing from tumors.
• Pray for Connie Larry’s family, especially her son-in-law Andrew who has COVID.
• Pray for John and Mandy Boyd. Mandy had been our police officer on Sundays. She and her husband serve in the National Guard and have been deployed for 6 months and are weeks away from returning back home! Pray for their protection and for their four children as well. 
• Pray for all our church family members who are homebound at this time, to be encouraged in the Lord (Judy Tackett, Ronnie and Belinda Cribbs).
• Pray for our Ukrainian friends’ safety, provision, and protection.
• Pray for our country to experience a spiritual awakening.

Updates:

• We are thankful for our wonderful Church Picnic and for the Lord turning on the air conditioner!
• We are thankful for God’s grace being poured out at the wedding and those being baptized!
• We are thankful for the great turnout of men to pray and for all the cooks who got up early to serve a delicious breakfast for our monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast!
• We are thankful that Todd Norton is improving after his knee replacement surgery along with his therapy!
• We are thankful for your faithful giving to our Lord!
