  • From Linda Jones for her sister, Patti Ryan, who has stage 2 lung cancer and will be starting chemotherapy and radiation. She is to have five rounds of therapy. Her praise is that Patti’s first grandchild is to be born in November. Please ask our merciful High Priest to help her through the trial and to celebrate this new little one.
  • Susan Kearley is experiencing health issues that health care professionals have been unable to diagnose. Please ask our Omniscient, All-Knowing God to give revelation and truth to Susan, her doctors, and wisdom in her care.

Requests:

  • Pray for Mistie Hutchison, who had to have another hip replacement surgery, then another procedure and is in the hospital with hopes of going to Encompass soon.
  • Pray for Jerry Atnip, who is in the hospital having tests run. 
  • Pray for Terry Douthit’s mom, Annelle Douthit, who is in the hospital in Birmingham.
  • Pray for Kathy Sanderson’s nephew, Biff (44 yrs. old), who had colon cancer surgery last week and is back in the hospital with potential blockage. Also, Kathy has a follow up appointment Friday with her oncologist. 
  • Pray for Earl Ray’s recovery from bladder surgery. 
  • Pray for Todd Norton for added strength as he recovers from gallbladder surgery.
  • Pray for Sue Setzer, who is now at Regency rehab with continued problems with her foot but regaining her strength.
  • Pray for Britton Sisk healing from appendicitis.
  • Pray for one of our church neighbors, Judy Moon, who has breast cancer.
  • Pray for the Fox’s son-in-law, Craig, who has terminal cancer. 
  • Pray for the Aquila family as they take care of Abigail.
  • Pray for the Dickman’s as they care for her parents with dementia, especially for stamina.
  • Pray for Connie Larry’s family.
  • Pray for John and Mandy Boyd. Mandy had been our police officer on Sundays. She and her husband serve in the National Guard and have been deployed for the last 6 months and are expected back any day! Pray for their protection and for their four children as well. 
  • Pray for all our church family members who are homebound at this time, to be encouraged in the Lord (Cindy Roper, Joyce Scott and Judy Tackett).
  • Pray for our Ukrainian friends’ safety, provision, and protection.
  • Pray for our country to experience a spiritual awakening.

Updates:

  • We are thankful for another great Men’s Prayer Breakfast and for Gary Humphrey and his team cooking!
  • We are thankful Dawne Douthit’s dad is now back home!
  • We are thankful that Felicia Atnip is recovering well from surgery!
  • We are thankful that Jim Forbes is feeling much better!
  • We are thankful that we were able to purchase the property at the corner of Triana Blvd. and 7th Avenue! 
  • We are thankful for your faithful giving to our Lord!

  • Sue Cole asks for prayer for her brother, Troy, because her brother’s “pacemaker is giving him trouble.” Please ask for wisdom and responsive action/care for Sue’s brother.
  • Jan Kosovac’s niece, Amy (in Philadelphia), was just diagnosed with a brain tumor. Amy is in her late twenties. Please ask our Lord, who walks with us, to come alongside Amy and her family during this time of fear and upheaval. Please also pray for opportunities for the gospel.
  • Tony Duncan passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 4th. Please continue to pray for Paula and the rest of the family.

Updates:

  • Mistie Hutchison’s surgery to put her hip back into its socket went well.
  • Two young boys in New York state, Owen (4yo) and Ryder (7yo), are recovering slowly and inconsistently. The doctors are thinking there may be neurological damage in addition to their other injuries. Please ask our compassionate Lord to heal the hurts, the physical and emotional wounds, and give the family comfort and strength during this time.  [from Kitty Call]
