Requests:

  • Jan Kosovac asks for prayer for her niece’s mom, Amy, who was recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her surgery is scheduled for early November. Please ask our Friend and Counselor to minister to the family while they prepare for her surgery. (I had gotten the name wrong in a previous prayer request. We prayed for Jan’s niece, whose correct name is Riley, who also had brain tumor surgery and is now doing well. Thank the Lord that He knows who knows who needs the prayers!)
  • Julie Martin says that she is still sick and not getting better. Becky has strep throat. Please ask for healing and wisdom.
  • There are others who are sick, who are dealing with family matters, and many other unspoken requests. When someone comes to mind, please call out that person’s name to the throne of grace and wisdom.

Updates:

  • We are thankful for this praise report from Deb Gordon: “Received amazing news. Biopsy results showed cancer is Stage 1 and NOT in the bone. Praising a merciful God for sparing me a dramatic surgery. Both of us are still in recovery but having this mental weight removed is a huge relief. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement!”
  • We are thankful for the Sutton’s hosting our Prime Timers last Thursday!
  • We are thankful for our Ladies Night Out and for Vernessa Edwards sharing!
  • We are thankful that we closed on the property at the corner of Triana Blvd. and 7th Avenue!
  • We are thankful for your faithful giving to our Lord!

Older Requests:

  • From Linda Jones for her sister, Patti Ryan, who has stage 2 lung cancer and will be starting chemotherapy and radiation. She is to have five rounds of therapy. Her praise is that Patti’s first grandchild is to be born in November. Please ask our merciful High Priest to help her through the trial and to celebrate this new little one.

Updates:

  • Susan Kearley said that the balance therapy seems to be helping her vertigo symptoms. She is having an echocardiogram next week, but she does not expect it to show any problems. Please continue to ask the God of Truth to reveal what is needed for Susan.
