At Wednesday’s choir practice, Melanie shared with us that when the we lead worship, our singing and playing involves our whole being. It involves our eyes, ears, posture, hands, feet (that one is for Dave!), as well as our heart, mind, and spirit. We sing and play from our testimony and as our testimony. Don then led us into prayer, and he asked us to pray with our eyes open, seeing the Lord before us and talking directly to Him. Praying with my eyes open did not go well – I am too easily distracted! I can pray in spirit and truth, “seeing” Him before me, sitting on His throne with His face turned to me.

What is your posture for worship? Worship is an action and is definitely not passive. When you worship Him with your whole being, something wonderful happens to us on the inside that is expressed on the outside. Standing with hands raised, sitting, kneeling, or prostrate on the floor, worship Him!
