Thank you all for your patience with the PrayerLine these last two weeks. I got to be part of the Greek trip, visiting several of the New Testament cities associated with Paul’s missionary journeys. Wonderful trip! Glad to be home!

Requests:

  • From Robby Atnip: “Please pray for my dad. He was admitted at Huntsville Hospital late yesterday [Sunday]. He’s bleeding internally. Will be meeting with doctors today to formulate a game plan to find the source of the bleed.” Asking our mighty God to give wisdom to the doctors and help to Mr. Atnip.
  • Scott Martin was admitted on Sunday, April 28, due to small blood clots in both lungs, severe chest pain and headache. He was discharged Thursday, May 1, but continues to experience fatigue and other symptoms. Asking our merciful Helper to minister to Scott and the Martin family.
  • Michael Cranston asks us to pray for the Michael Giles family. Michael was a relative of the Pruitts. “He had a failed heart transplant and passed away [Sunday]. His parents are Mike and Kathy. Father God, please comfort this family as they walk through this unimaginable sorrow. The funeral for Michael Giles is May 11.

Older Requests:

  • From Teresa Humphrey for a newborn: “Clay… born Tuesday, 02 April 2024, air lifted from HSV to UAB pediatric ICU. Heart & lungs not functioning. Emergency surgery was performed Saturday 06 April to connect ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, a form of life support, providing prolonged cardiac and respiratory support to persons whose heart and lungs are unable to provide adequate oxygen/gas exchange to sustain life) directly into his chest.” Please ask our omnipotent Lord to help this little one to thrive and recover.

Updates:

  • From Scott Gossett: His cousin, Tony (Texas), was diagnosed with “pneumonia along with the breathing issues.” He is now home and doing better.
  • We prayed for an 18 year old, Ally, who had been on life support. Ruthe Myers let us know that Ally passed away on April 25th. “Things had improved, but recently things took a turn for the worse and she died from complications during surgery.” Please lift up the family in their time of grief.
