Prayer Requests 7/1/2023

• Heather Moore’s mom, Patsy Campbell, passed away early this morning. Please ask for mercy for Heather’s dad, Don, and the family during this time of separation and grief.
• Hoss Johnson is on a Score International football mission trip to Israel. Please ask for protection and opportunities for the gospel to be heard. Special request: “Please pray for Yanvi (Israel coach) as he is helping me coach football here in Israel for 10 days as well as taking care of his mom who is fighting an infection from surgery. This is a big deal that he specifically [asked] to pray for his mom. I can feel his worry and exhaustion when he shares with me from staying at the hospital.”

Requests:

• Pray for our Honduras mission team of 24 as they are sharing the love of God.
• Pray for Pat Chew, who fell and hit her head on Monday. She has been admitted to the hospital with a brain bleed. She lives in Greer, SC. 
• Pray for Aaron Seals, who is 38 years old and under hospice care. He is a childhood friend of Mark Daversa.
• Pray for Betty Hutchison as she recovers from surgery and is at Valley View rehab. 
• Pray for Katie Zeller, who is the wife of our missionary John Zeller, as she is waiting for major surgery to remove a large mass from her stomach.  
• Pray for Deb Gordon, who is the wife of our missionary Don Gordon, as cancer has returned to her sinus/jawbone area.
• Pray for our missionary Dan Woodard’s grandchildren, Logan (newborn) has bacterial meningitis and his two-year-old brother, Mark was diagnosed with leukemia. 
• Pray for Chris Gunnels, who is at Duke University Hospital this week being treated for brain cancer. 
• Pray for Bob Eidson’s son-in-law Eric, who is in SICU following a serious car accident.
• Pray for the Aquila family as they take care of Abigail.    
• Pray for Sharon Dickman as she cares for her parents with dementia.   
• Pray for Mary Wilhite, who was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. 
• Pray for Connie Larry’s family.
• Pray for John and Mandy Boyd. Mandy had been our police officer on Sundays. She and her husband serve in the National Guard and have been deployed for the next two months. Pray for their protection and for their four children as well. 
• Pray for all our church family members who are homebound, to be encouraged in the Lord (Katie Crawford, Jim Forbes and Shirley Fox).
• Pray for our Ukrainian friends’ safety, provision, and protection.
• Pray for our country to experience a spiritual awakening.

Updates:

• We are thankful for Juan and Tori Guevara joining our church Sunday!
• We are thankful for the great report that Kathy Sanderson received – the spot on her lung was gone!
• We are thankful that John Madagan and Charles Sutton’s surgeries went well!
• We are thankful for our children and counselors, who had a wonderful week of camp at Ft. Bluff!
• We are thankful that Scott Vaughn has just retired as a Deputy Sheriff from The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department! 
• We are thankful that Loretta Pruitt is home from rehab!
• We are thankful that Cindy Roper continues to regain her strength! 
• We are thankful for your faithful giving to our Lord!
