Requests:
- Pray for Earl Ray’s healing as he meets with his surgeon from Vanderbilt.
- Pray for Britton Sisk, whose appendix ruptured last week.
- Pray for Amber Isenhower as she recovers from gallbladder surgery yesterday.
- Pray for Jim Forbes as he consults his doctor in Nashville and for his healing.
- Pray for Mistie Hutchison, the daughter of Hutch and Betty, as she is scheduled for a hip replacement on August 21.
- Pray for the Isaac Mann family, who serve as our missionaries in Indonesia. Their daughter, Elly has been diagnosed with leprosy and will be on medication for the next 6 months to 1 year. Thankfully, she is no longer contagious, and the rest of the family are all well.
- Pray for Chris Gunnels, who needs healing from brain cancer.
- Pray for the Aquila family as they take care of Abigail.
- Pray for Dickman’s as they care for her parents with dementia, especially for stamina.
- Pray for Peggy Newton’s daughter, Christy, who needs healing from tumors.
- Pray for Connie Larry’s family in the passing of Mary Larry. Also, her brothers and sisters, along with her Aunt and cousins in Maui, Hawaii.
- Pray for John and Mandy Boyd. Mandy had been our police officer on Sundays. She and her husband serve in the National Guard and have been deployed for the last 6 months and are expected back any day! Pray for their protection and for their four children as well.
- Pray for all our church family members who are homebound at this time, to be encouraged in the Lord (Jean Spray, Cindy Roper and Wally Fox).
- Pray for our Ukrainian friends’ safety, provision, and protection.
- Pray for our country to experience a spiritual awakening.
Updates:
- We are thankful for the miracle God gave to Katie Zeller! Her surgery was supposed to be seven hours, but she was done in 55 minutes and in recovery for two hours with no ICU stay! Also, the margins were clear!
- We are thankful for Deb Gordon’s clear biopsy report!
- We are thankful for all who came and served during the homegoing funeral service for Bob Miller!
- We are thankful that James’, Bill and Kathy Park’s grandson, surgery went well!
- We are thankful that Scott Martin’s shoulder surgery went well!
- We are thankful for your faithful giving to our Lord!

- One “of our church neighbors (lives on 8th Ave.)… Judy Moon, has breast cancer and would like the church to pray for her.” [via Sandra Gossett]
- Sue Setzer is being released from the hospital, but it has become evident that she cannot live alone and will need full time care. Becky Schroeder said that they are praying that a bed will open at a skilled facility. “Just need prayers for the next steps and peace with whatever that is.”
Updates:
- Wally Fox says that his son-in-law, Craig, is very weak and tired after Covid. He has lost a lot of weight and has stopped all of the experimental cancer treatments. Please ask our God of Love and Mercy to show compassion to Craig and his wife, Rhonda.
